When Penn Medicine needed interoperable Employee ID Badges across their vast array of buildings and departments, K&A’s White Glove Service was the stand-out choice.
With staff spread across dozens of facilities, Penn Medicine needed secure, interoperable Employee ID badges quickly to ensure security and compliance.
Penn Medicine, anchored by Pennsylvania Hospital – the nation’s first hospital – has grown into a vast network of hospitals and facilities across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. As the network expanded, the need for a single, secure, interoperable employee ID badge became critical. Badges had to provide secure access from parking areas to operating rooms, while also supporting downstream systems such as printing, lockers, payroll, vending, and patient records. Certain departments, such as Mental Health, required additional privacy measures. Facing this complex, multi-location challenge, Penn Medicine turned to K&A to design a secure, streamlined, and fully interoperable badging solution.
"We had a very hands-on, pre-existing relationship with the folks at UPenn. They recommended us to Penn Medicine to help with the process of creating one consolidated interoperable badge."
