Zoetis, a multinational animal health company, has a well-established brand that needed to extend to its ID accessories… and do so across the globe.
With facilities and employees across the globe, Zoetis needed to get custom-printed lanyards to employees at manufacturing and packaging units in 33 locations worldwide. Zoetis needed custom-printed lanyards delivered to its manufacturing locations in 33 locations. 13 were in North America, but 20 were across national borders. STEP 1 — Produce the custom lanyards. The product itself was straightforward. Zoetis wanted custom lanyards with their Pantone-matched orange text silkscreened on a ⅝” gray MicroWeave material. Despite the tricky timing amidst global supply chain interruptions, K&A anticipated difficulties and ensured the product was ready to go.
STEP 2 — Manage a global distribution effort. Working from Zoetis’ distribution list, K&A organized shipments of custom lanyards by country, worked with courier services, and filed customs clearance paperwork. After a maze work of freight forwarding & customs brokerage, the products were packaged, labeled, and shipped to one of 33 locations worldwide.
STEP 3 — A perfect product delivered without a hitch. K&A provided Zoetis with tracking information and ongoing communication to ensure all the shipments reached their destinations as planned.
When global distribution isn’t done right, it can be seized by customs, turning into a mess of confiscated products, extraneous fees, mountains of additional paperwork, and foreign currency. These pitfalls are what make global distribution an absolute nightmare.
